Default horrible squeaking

Just recently (about 3 days ago) my car started acting up.
I've narrowed it down to the front right suspension, shocks/springs, etc area.

Any time I go over rough roads (just about everywhere) there's a horrible squeaking/creaking sound coming from the shocks or some part of the car..

My initial guess is maybe there's dirt that got up in the suspension, causing it to squeak?
Any ideas?

Try having a buddy push down on the front of the car several times while you listen near the fenderwell to see where the noise might be coming from.
It sounds like a bushing noise from somewhere.

The Rubbers Rings under each coil spring. they could be bad. They make that same type of noise your talking about when they go bad....

How can I tell if the rubber rings and/or bushings, etc are bad?

Would they look all torn and ripped apart from excessive wear?
Where do you suggest going to purchase new ones? NAPA, Autozone?
And roughly how much do you think they'll cost?

thanks

well usually wear the isolators are gone the car seems lower?...I would spray the spring area with wd-40 to see if it quits if not go the the a-arms and spray the bushings..then more on..

It sounds like the front struts could be going out. Usually before the struts go out they will begin to make a creaking noise.
It also could be a bushing as well. You probably still have the stock rubber ones still in there. The urethane ones will also
make a squeeking noise too.

quick update.

I took off the front wheels, and the bushings are fine. I really do think its the suspension (struts?) .. but I have no idea how to actually figure that out.
I guess I'll end up taking it to the place which did my steering column and see what they come up with and get an estimate.

Have you check the tie rod ends? I had a similar problem with my car and i needed the tie rod ends replaced. All my squeaking then went away.
