I think that's Zinc or Magnesium plated. For some reason I dont think gold plating would be a good idea. They look awesome but I have to ask if they had any other cobra brakes that didn't have the word Cobra hypercoated on them (maybe something more like the Mach 1 brakes).

 

looks like a cadmium plating job to me! and no one in his right mind would use gold to plate a brake rotor except for a trailer queen show car!
