I recently began bringing my car down to the track, and am curious in the technique used for doing a brakestand with a 5spd. I have always done a good burnout, but it only last a few seconds. With the new d/rs i just put bought, obviously i want to be really heating them up real good. It seems like if i depressed the brake while doing the burnout would just cause me to bounce off the rev limiter, and thats not what i wanna be doing. Any tips or hints I could use?
would doing a breakstand before a street race help at all, just wondering, like say from a stop light, this may be a real stupid question but gata know
A device that holds just your front brakes after you apply them, so when you let off the brake pedal they're still on until you release the pressure in the lines with the line lock switch.
If you're working both the brake and the throttle with the same foot (like I do), you just need to practice on not giving too much gas so it hits the rev limiter.
Or you could dump the clutch and move that foot over to the brake, so it's easier to control the amount of brake pressure and throttle.
