Default A quick one.

Hey everyone, I've got a quick one for ya. I got oil today, and they only had 3 10W30's, so they gave me 2 10W40's to give me 5 quarts. Is mixing these a bad idea?? He said 10W40 is ok cuz its good for higher heat, and I ham on it sometimes, so I thought it shouldnt hurt. Whats your thoughts? Hit me back, I know its friday, so dont feel obligated (mind my spelling). Thanx!

If you change every 3000 miles no problem.

You have a cheesey retail outlet.

Though mixing weights may not hurt, you really won't know how the oil in your engine is mixed and therfore perform. Trade those 2 10w-40's for a couple 10w-30's.
