To all, I am stumped with my 2000 GT 4.6 and need some assistance please. All of a sudden now for the last two days, my car won't idle correctly. However, its only during the heat of the day.....at night, it doesn't do it. The car will turn on perfect and won't have anything wrong in the beginning. Then as it heats up, the idle gradually increases until it caps out at about 2200 RPM. On top of that, the "coolant temp / coolant level" light is on, on the dashboard under my tachometer, its the light all the way to the right. The coolant level is fine though. What on earth could cause these idle issues. It has to be temperature related as it only does it when its hot....then again, could it be the IAC or the TPS, perhaps the sensor in the radiatro, the temp sensor, ....i don't know but it needs to be fixed.....please help.
