Good price on 4.10 install?
Guy is offering to install them for $190 or $125 if I provide the fluid but does not include speedo recalibration. Is this a good deal and what is the cheapest/easiest way to recalibrate the speedo?
Thats a good deal if he knows what he's doing and you dont have to go back and fix it a month later. The cheapest way t recalibrate the speedo is probably a speedocal. They have them at Dallas Mustang for $90 I believe.
I must have gotten robbed. I ended up having to pay almost $1000 for a complete rebuild of my rear diff.
I guess the only difference is I had the beefier Spider gears put in, a complete rebuild kit to include new Carrier for the Locker, 3.73's, and a new rear U-Joint.
I think I paid almost $400 for the labor itself, and it's only warrantied for a year.
The only piece of mind is, the place that did mine, also has a 2500 whp dragster who has never blown a rear diff since they've worked on it. Too bad I think they need to re-shim mine, I get some whirring, and a little vibration on deceleration.
Thank god for the warranty.

he was saying that I would have to use some full synthetic gear stuff in a 99+. I know I heard him correct because I made him repeat it three times, lol. He's a SVT tech at a local ford dealership who is opening a ford performance shop on the side with some other people
