95 i think, 4cyl that barely starts when you turn the key but when she lets go of the key it puts for a few seconds and dies. what could be causing this????

Its hard to tell with your description, you need fuel and spark, when is the last time this car had a tune up? Have you tried anything yet?

 

The last year for the four bager was 93. It was replaced in 94 by the 3.8 V-6.

 

Start with the easy things first. Pull off a plug wire and check for spark. Pull out a plug and check for gas. Also check the year of the car The I4 came in the mustang from 1979 to 1993, it came with a distributer until '90, fuel injection started in '87......... The potential list of problems is endless, could be a bad fuel pump, injector, distributor, carb, ignition module...OR it could be a bad plug, gummed up filter, bad gas?????? I don't think anyone is trying to be difficult, we just need more info
