I just have a question about my transmission .. i bought another 1990 gt convertible and i got a trans for it cause the one in it dont want to go into second and grinds going into third, however i was going down the expressway(5ht gear) and all of a sudden it was like it poped out of gear and i had lost every gear except 4th ... 1st,2nd,3rd, 5th and reverse all not there.... i find it kinda strange?? anyone ever had this happen before?

 

actually ya, when u take the shifter off off your car inside the trans theres a little socket and a piece can fall out during a swap or something and if it falls out or brakes it wont hold it into gear correctly, could also effect shifting but i wouldnt think it would completely stop you from going in gear
