Default underdrive pulley question

I want to re-locate the battery to the hatch area of my mustang, I have some huge welding cable to run from the starter solenoid to the battery so the charging should be fine, however I was thinking of installing underdrive pulleys. Will this make for a bad combination? What is the real horsepower gains I can expect from the underdrive pulleys? Thanks for all the help I have been recieving on here

underdrives will make more of performance difference then relocating the battery.

i really doubt that the underdrives will hurt the charging of a trunk battery more then they do with a normally mounted battery. you should be safe

I know re-locating the battery won't give me any performance improvement' I was concearned about the charging capabilities of the car after installing underdrive pulleys. Plus if I move the battery it will give me a nice place to put an MSD box. I know most companies make bold statements about underdrive pulleys and the power gains but how much do these really help?

underdrive's on 5.0's are said to be worth 5-10 rwhp, more than on the 4.6's

underdrive pulleys will not be a problem with the battery in the hatchback area especially if you use the large gauge wire to move the battery.

DO NOT BUY UNDERDRIVE PULLIES. i had a 90 LX 5.0 with them on it and it went through 5 alternators in 6 months. Maybe it was the pullies, maybe it wasn't, but it's not worth it to mod it...especially for such insignificant power.
