Default 1968 Wheel problems

Hi:

I have a 68 that is mostly restored and I'm doing some of the finishing touches on it. I'm having a problem with the wheels. The car came with the original Magnum 500 wheels in 8-inch with fairly new Cooper Cobra tires. My problem is the front ones. They rub on the tie rods. I've had a spacer installed on either side and it only lessened the problem slightly.Since these wheels are hard to come by (and very expensiveif you find them) I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem short of having to downsize to 7-inch wheels on the front.
