Default x pipe

I am going to buy an x pipe with out cats, I was wondering if the brand's that make x pipe are alot different from each other. Would a UPR x pipe be as good as a SLP x pipe . And also could a SLP or UPR x pipe bolt directly onto the stock headers. I have flowmasters on currently, but i dont know what kind as the orignal owner had them installed. Also is there any trick to pass inspections with a off road x pipe.

Thank you for your help,[:-]

I really like the look of the magnaflow x but its pretty pricey. Make sure you get the setup that you need, heard of alot of people having to cut and extend them for longtubes.

brands dont really matter...but i like mybbk. an o/r pipe thats made for shorty headers will fit on the stock manifolds. as for any tricksfor emissions...there are none. its basicallyimpossible to pass without cats.

i have a 2001 mustang gt, stock except flowmaster exhaust. Just wanted a o/r x pipe for more sound and hp , i was just wondering if slp x pipe would produce more hp then upr or bbk or pypes brands , but if it doesnt matter which brand if they all produce about the same hp and sound then i guess cheapest is the way to go.

thanks for input
