im lookin for somthing like brake kleen but i dont know if bk will hurt anything in the motor or take the babbit off the cam berrings any help is great thanks guys[sm=americanasmiley.gif]never forgotten

You can add diesel fuel to the oil to clean engine internals but be prepared to do an oil change immediately after.Don't drive the car,just let it idle.Let the oil level down to about a quart low and refill with the diesel.This will break all kinds of gom loose and can clog the oil filter so keep an eye on the oil pressure so the filter doesn't go into bypass and send all the crap through the engine.
Solvent by itself won't hurt bearings.

you can also use seafoam, and ive even heard of people using mystery oil. You have to change your oil right after you do this. Usually when someone i know gets a new higher milage car one of the first things we do is buy a can of seafoam pult 1/3 in the gas tank, then suck 1/3 through the brake booster, then add the other 3rd to the oil then change it. Seems to get most of the crap out of there

the actual name is sea foam and you should be able to get it at any parts store advance, auto zone, pep boys, etc.
