Ok, I'm going to try to be as clear as possible so I can get the best recs. I am finally going to order my gears this week. I have a 2000 GT Conv **AUTO** and Dan02GT says that I have 2.73s in there as stock. I def want to go with the 4.10 because I don't fear the gear, but will 3.73 be a better idea? I don't plan on S/C any time soon. I will only do exhuast, CAI, boltons etc... I'm not worried about gas mileage because I want to make this car my "for fun car". I don't plan on doing any highway driving because to work and back requires no highway. I'll be using the car to get around town, and I want that punch off the line. If I do drive on the highway, it will be no more than twice a month for no more than like 40 miles. I'm getting FRPP gears, will I hear any whining or noises that will make the car sound like its dying or anything? Now with this long boring story, Should I go with 3.73 or 4.10?
Thanks a lot guys!

From what I hear from the guys here on the forum, the difference is only about 3-4 miles. As for the performance, MD has a great story about how a friend of his was going to get 3.73s and he drove MD's car which 4.10s , and the friend immediately decided to go with 4.30s. I hear that if you get the 3.73s and then try the 4.10s, you'll be disappointed that you got the 3.73s. Hope this helps. Oh yea, and on the highway, your engine will be running at higher rpms.
