Default Hurst Billet Plus shifter

The Hurst Billet Plus shifter was on the car when I bought it. When I took it for a test drive the sales guy thought I would have a hard time shifting it during the test drive because it's very notchy.Test drove it with out missing a shift.
In the beginning I loved the way the Hurst shifter shifted but now it's really getting on my nerves.
Any one elsewith Billet / Plus regret buying it or take issue with it's notchy feel when shifting?

I've decided to switch to MGW.
