Default Fuel Pressure

Hi, I have a 92' 5.0 and first I was wondering if the shrader valve is a good location for an accurate reading of the fuel pressure? I just installed an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and I'm not sure where to set the pressure for max performance, it seems that everyone I ask has a different oppinion. Current mods are BBK shortys off road H-pipe 40 series flows. K&N fenderwell intake, 70mm MAF, 70mm TB, trick flow street heat intake manifold, and stock injectors. I have the ignition timing advanced to about 18 degrees. I'm installing 1.7 roller rockers next... Also I have an a/f ratio guage but it reads alittle differantly from the right bank to the left bank. I would imagine this means one of the O2 sensors is bad but they are reletivly new.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

well i put mine in the shradder valve and it seems to work well. Im only confuzed about 1 thing now... some people tell me to set the fuel pressure with the vac. line to the regulator hooked up and some say to disconnect the line. Anyone know for sure which way to do it? thanks,

you should set the pressure with the vacuum line off the regulator as this will be the maximum pressure the regulator will put out. then reconnect the vacuum line and test run the car. when I installed mine, I also installed an Autometer mechanical fuel pressure guage where I could see it while driving the car. with the key on, vacuum line off and engine off, I set the pressure regulator to 50 psi. With the engine running at WOT, this gave me an operational fuel pressure of 44 psi which worked well for my combination.
