After i got my tune done, the "theft" light will blink for roughly 5 minutes then shut off. i went back in and they said this is normal and it will shut off... well it did shut off, its just that every time i start my car it does it for near 5 minutes... is this really normal? thanks.

what chip, or what are you using for the tune? i have heard of poeple saying the same thing a while back. it might be something with the product you are using. let me know using and i can give you some more info.

 

they did a micro tune, i got it done at a place called pauls high performance, no chip, they went into the ECU and reprogrammed it.

 

aahh yes, pauls high perfromance... alot of fast cars come out of that shop. they aren't the kind of people that woule screw anyone either.

i personally am not familiar with a micro tune, but i can get you a second opione if you still want it...

 

Yeah. I got a superchip. and the dyno couldnt get my car to start. I work for a dealership and i came back after getting a bite to eat. Kinda mad after i waited 2 hors and still not started. Well, i came back and showed them what to do. BEcause of the PATS system. But yeah, its not normal for the THEFT light to blink.

and i dunno if micro tune was the exact term used, they just said they re-tuned my chip, to mess with the air-fuel mixture, throttle response, etc..worked alright... there gonna be doin my shift kit sometime next week as well.

 

do you have a chip then? i thought you said you didn't have a chip.?.?.? what brand of chip is it??

i have heard of paul's high performance... they are big in the drag racing scene and have some pretty quick cars... they are already working on an 05 GT. if you go to their website, they have a pic on the front page. http://www.paulshp.com/

 

they reprogrammed my ecu is what they said, yea they had to 05's in there, very nice!! so is that ok then? the theft light isnt a big concern i am jus wonderin why it is on. thanx, wht00gt
