It's an 8.8" rear. What else do you want to know?

Default RE: rear end

I like to jack up one of the rear wheels with the front wheels chockes to prevent the car from rolling. E-brake off and in neutral if I can spin one rear wheel this means non posi unit. Rotate the wheel 2 TIMES and count the rotations on the drive axle. about 3 1/4 turns on the axle would be a 3.23 rear gear, 3 1/2 turns a 3.55, and just past 4 is a 4.10.
If the wheel won't spin, you got a posi. so you would have to jack up both rear wheels and spin the rear wheel(s) ONCE. and count the rotations on the drive axle as above.
