Default throwout bearing apps

sup?i need help concerning clutch and throwout bearing applications for a 97 gt.i have a borg warner brute clutch in the box but its for an earlier year.does anyone know if at least the throwout bearing is interchangeable?i had a new clutch put in but not a great one and the bearing started makin noise after a week or two.some clutches are supposed to be good for 87 and up whereas others are separated into two groups for mod and 5.0 engines.i know the smart thing would be to just get a new clutch and put it in but thats an expensive option right now.should i take a chance pullin it apart to try the switch or no?

Default RE: throwout bearing apps

When ever you change your clutch its always a good idea to put in a new pilot bearing (bushing) and throwout bearing while you have the transmission dropped. If the clutch goes bad chances are they are going to go bad pretty soon after. When changing clutchs you normally recommend it so the customer doesn't come back 500 miles later saying you messed there car up when its the throwout bearing going out. Hope you take this tip in mind next time you drop you transmission, it will save you some time.
