I'm using the solid motor mounts but not a solid tranny mount at the same time. Read somewhere you shouldn't run a solid tranny mount with solid motor mounts or you run the risk of tranny damage for some reason. Has something to do with chassis flex breaking the tranny case I think, not real sure.

roundy you are correct on that as I have seen many of 2000.00 power glide trashed.....I would not use solid engine mounts on a street car....then main reason for these mounts is for better horsepower as you lose some hp due to the rubber mount cushoning horsepower transfer.......using a chain or adjustable rod bolted to the frame and head/block can accomplish close results

I think this is what your talking about vfast. jegs has a torque link that is removable for street drivin. its part#247-4010 if you wanna check it out

i use solid,stock replacement for the tranny.....poly doesn't last long in the mid-west they crack reall bad..if driven in snow.
