Default High volume oil pump

Why would I need one?

I'm building a new motor and when I went to price out oil pumps I found normal ones and high volume ones. Is a high volume one going to make a difference?

high volume is good, but you really need a deeper oil pan...i have seen many many motors burn up cause the high volume pump sucks the oip pan dry..a regular ol stocker pump is usally fine for most motors

Plus the high volume oil pump can rob hp by binding up the motor with to much oil pressure. just get the regular one
