my friends 95 GT wont start.. doesnt even turn over... Brand new battery, brand new starter, solidnoid clicks when you turn the key, so its not that. You can still push start the car though with the clutch.. i dont no what else to check.. Any idea?

 

use a large ratchet and see if you can easily crank the engine by hand.

 

use a DVM and read the voltage at the solenoid while cranking. then read the voltage at the starter and see if there is a difference. might have a crappy connection somewhere that's robbing power. are you also sure the battery is powerful enough?

 

yea because the car will start if it is hot
