Default Storing you beloved car..

So how do anyof you guys prepare your car for storage. Because this year will be my first time I will have to do that. I usually have the same car all the time no matter how cold or hot it is. But now that I pretty much have to how do you guys go about doing that. Is there any special things I should do.. I know diffentily that I will be putting fuel stablizer in it and changing the oil before and after I take it out of storage and taking out the battery and putting it in my basement. But is there anything else I should be worried about or do???

hi, this is what i do and it works great!! i live in wisconsin so winters can get cold!! all i do is fill the gas tank, put stay-bil in the tank park in garage, mine is unheated. leave it sit, dont start it all winter,if you start it,you will get condastion in motor, then when spring comes, start it up.change oil, right of way, then drive. this is what my local ford dealer said to do!! make sure you put stay-bil in otherwise you will have trouble big time.

hi again, you dont need to change oil before, just dont start it and change in spring,i was going to do what you are but the boys at the ford shop said it was a waste of money, think about it it really is if you dont start it. the worst thing is if you start it and get condinstion in your motor, thats the worst!!! also alot of guys think if they let the motor warm up on the temp gauge to normal this is good.. no no dont do it cause you have to drive the car to dry it out!! take my word on that, that doesnt work, sorry about my spelling!!
