IS this a key part of the frame or could it just be bent back. Insurance wants to cut it out then weld a new one in there. but thats going to be like 500 to have someone do that including parts. Unless its a key part of the frame I would rather thake that money and have it bent back and put my sub frames on.

 

that thing is crushed pretty good. it will tear when they start pulling andbeating on it. that is called a rocker and yes it helps a lot and would be a much better repair to replace it.

 

Id say cut it out and weld a replacement in, much simpler.....
