Would not start

Would not start
I have a β90 lx Convertible. It has several mods and ran great until last week. (Every now and then it runs rough in gear with your foot on the brakes.) While driving down the road it shut off. It died after lifting from the throttle. It did this 3-4 times. I got it home looked at the battery, connections, everything looks ok. Yesterday the wife called and it would not start. I turned the key to start and only the battery light came on, usually others light up, no fuel pump, no radio. It had 12.8v at the battery and solenoid. I jumped the solenoid several times, it cranked and would not fire. Then the radio, the rest of the gauges, fuel pump and it started with the key. It ran fine all the way home and started this morning. HELP!!![sm=helpout.gif]

RE: Would not start
I am Pretty sure itβs not the battery cable, I checked the volts at the solenoid and it matched the battery (when it would not start). How can I check the ignition switch and the ECM? After it started I turned it off and turned the key forward 15-20 times and started it 9-10 times. It functioned properly every time.

When it doesn't start... what does it do?? Does it click or anything?

RE: Would not start
I turned the key forward and there was nothing at the solonoid( no clicking), the fuel pump did not turn on, the radio did not work. I took a screw driver and jumped the solonoid and it cranked but would not fire.
