Default 429 conversion

I have a 429 that I want to marry up with a '71 coupe body I have. I would like to couple the motor through someone's five speed. I plan to use a 3.50 locked rear end. I'm looking for a quick street car that won't need to be followed by a gasoline tanker truck on the highway.
Questions:
1. The body had a 302 in it. I assume I'll need to beef up the front springs but to what? Would the popular 600lb. springsbe adequate? Would variable ratio springsadd anything to the handling?
2. Does someone make a complete five speed conversion kit that I can bolt up? The motor currently has a C6 attached. The body had a C4 with the 302. I'll need everything except the clutch and brake pedal assembly. I have them.
Can any of you help the old guy out? Sure would appreciate anything you can tell me.

Default RE: 429 conversion

429 in a 71 was a factory option. Just get the correct springs, frame and motor mounts. Are you set on a 5spd? A stock t-5 isnt going to last. If the 429 is stock, you'll need atleast atko 500. This will help

Another option would be to keep the C-6 and get a gear vendors overdrive. http://www.gearvendors.com/
