Default Keyless Entry

Has anyone installed an aftermarket keyless entry system in their foxbody.. stang? I was looking into them and loved to have one for my stang, I got one with my truck and love it. I saw kits for around 200 bucks but dont know so much about how hard wiring is? Any feedback would be good

Friend of mine put one on his 85 Toyota Prerunner. He bought it same kinda deal from some store on Oxnard for like $200 and he installed in a Saturday. Hes not too good at too much of that kind stuff put he pulled it off. Maybe thatll give you some confidence.

Kind of surprised they cost that much! I've bought and installed a couple remote start systems on the wife's vehicles thatwere a WHOLE lot more sophisticated than just keyless entry and in fact included keyless entry as part of the deal. I think the company was Bull Dog Security and the buy in was around $100 or so. I would imagine they probably make a simple keyless entry system as well. It's just a matter of a remote receiver that will trigger a relay connected in parallel with your power lock switch. Not very hard to install either.

God bless,
