Default serious problems

I have a 94 mustang GT. It is smoking super bad, eating gas like cake and everyday is its birthday and wont shift out of second. There aren't many mods, just a MSD ignition, chip and a K&N. I really need some suggestions. I believe the shift problem is because of "limp mode", it is almost like the fuel pressure regulator went bad. When you turn the ignition on (not starting the car) you can hear the fuel pump whinning, and a hissing noise at the rails. I am lost. This is my first ford. I am born again...previously a Chevy Fanatic.

on the fuel rail there is a nipple. key on wait or the fuel pump to kick on then press in the nipple on the fuel rail if theres fuel take a look at the injectors. that could be the probelm. (possible clog in the fuel rail)

I tried that. The fuel pump continuosly runs and so does the radiatorfan. I unplug all wires from the throttle body and it still smokes like a chimney. it is overloading on fuel for some reason.

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator.
