Default 4.6 GT 5 speed driveability

Hey Guys and Ladies, ever since I have owned the car the cold idle has not worked properly. Any ideas. Sounds like a sensor, but I'm not sure which.

Do you mean it stalls? Or, just that the RPM's don't go very high? I'm assuming you have a '97, but which engine? Which trans?
