i have a 98 gt 5speed and i notice that my pro 5.0 short shifter is hard to get into gear sometimes!
could this be a clutch issue or is the pro 5.0 short shifter just alot harder to get into gear?
please help guys.

I would have to say its your shifter, bc if it was ur clutch not disengaging, you would hear some kind of grinding when tryin to put it in gear. I have the pro ripper shifter and sometimes its h*ll tryin to get it into reverse, i could relieve some of the spring pressure but i like how much tension there is. I say just use some muscle..

 

thanks for replying.now its starting to grind a lil when it goes into gear.i think it may be a clutch or my tranny goin out.
i'm gonna check into a new clutch and rebuild.i'm sure either couldn't hurt,lol!!!
