I have a 1996 Cobra that i just purchased, I live in Virginia and the car came with an offroad H-pipe, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how i can get it by emmissions without throwing cats back on it, or what my options are concerning this issue, Feedback will be much appreciated!!

you can take the shells from cats and weld them to the pipe, at first look it will appear to have cats.

you can slip the guy there 50 bucks and he will pass you. best way to do that is just find some hole in the wall place that does emissions and go when theres no other customers (they will get uneasy if theres other customers that could hear)

or you can go to a scrap yard and get a stock one for cheap and throw it on for testing...only takes an hour to swap pipes

 

thanks for your help, i think im just going to order a catted H-pipe so i can get it through emmissions then put the other ones back on, i got harrassed by the cops the other day for having a headlight out n they were looking under the car and in the engine bay it pissed the **** out of me but they let me off with a warning
