I am thinking about removing the a/c in my 1991 lx and want to know if anyone has done this or knows how to do it. It still works so do i have to get it emptied some where or can i do that myself. thanks

i got a 91 lx too and i want to do the same thing. But im asking the same question!.lol. That little compressor adds a decent bit of weight to the front end. I wonder if u can feel the difference?...hmm...

guys I just leave it on if it works....the whole thing might wt around 40 pounds and doesn't rob you power when it's not on..it would be better in relocating the battery to the trunk or buying a dry cell battery that weighs only 25 pounds..and I'm sure your girl would love the ac on those hot *** days.. there are alot better ways in losing thoase pounds than removing the ac..light wt wheels would be better as this is unsprung wt

i agree you may change your mind about the ac and want it back and it can cost a lot of money to get it fixed
