new viper alarm
just installed it, got the remote start to work car is manual. anyways, just sharing some info we left the car in gear and test started it, the car just started to roll so even with the ebrake all the way up. So if yall think about installing remote starter gotta remember to leave your car in neutral. before i installed it, I though my car would stall out as soon as it starts but it even drove iup by itself up the hill with the brake on

RE: new viper alarm
That's weird.. Most of the remote starters I've seen for manual trany cars have a setupsequence you HAVE to do in order for the remote start to work..
After you park your car & while the engine is still running:
1) Pull on the parking brake
2) Push a button on the keychainremote
3) Turn ignition keyoff(car keeps running)
4) Get out of car & lock the doors
5) Turn off the car with the remote
If you do that, then the remote starter will work next time you need it. But if you even open/close a door the starter will not work. This is to guarantee the car is out of gear.
Did you bypass this setupwith the alarm install? Does the Viper system NOT use this method?

RE: new viper alarm
All we did was bypass the clutch. now i can start the car without having to press the clutch in. Its pretty bad ***. I got the "upgraded" viper system. Unless there somekinda sensor that tells the car its in gear there is no way the alarm going to know the car is in gear.
