03'/04' Cobra Differences?
I'm deciding to drade in the 96' GT for either a 03'/04' Cobra and was just wondering if there is anything different between the two years? My research says, no.
some 03's had a problem with the heads- there would be a slight ticking sound, and most were fixed under a TSB. Some of the 03's were 10th aniversary cobras and have different wheels also
There is no difference.
The head tick is a common problem on all 03/04 Cobra's. There was a new head released in 2005 to solve the problem.
The head tick is not documented to cause a loss of performance, rather it's just an annoying sound. Many people who have had the head tick and had a failure had a rod/bearing issue to begin with.

04's have a little net between the sun visors..
04's have 9 threads for the spark plugs into the head and the 03's have 4
The 03 head tick was fixed through TSB's, but TSB's dont get mailed to people. They usually only fix it if the customer cpmplains about it.
Thats all I know.
