I have an 88 mustang that my 18 year old was nice enough to crack a piston in it....gotta love him.....anyway..

it has a 2.3 in it now and we decided the cheapest way to get it fix was to just get another engine, however, I have heardthat around that year the engines had changes and that some year models will not work. Can anybody tell me what year Ford engines can be used?

 

If you go to an engine rebuild shop or a wrecking yard they'll have a catalog showing exactly which engines from what vehicle ranges have engines suitable for installing into your car.
