Default Manual Transmission Fluid

Jus bought some Lucas Tranmission Fix to add to my trans fluid..only problem is i have no idea where it goes. I got a manual trans. Under the hood i don't see a cap of any sort to even add trans fluid, let alone and additive..I'm about to change my oil now, so while i've got my baby on the ramps, can anyone give me the slighest insight about my manual trans fluid?

I don't know much about thatstuff so I can't tell you whether you should add it or not. I can tell you that the fill and drain plugs are on the transmision case itself with the drain being either on or near the bottom and the fill plug being near the top. I can't remember if they are on the driver or passenger side though...

When i installed my short shifter a about a year ago i noticed there was some fluid underneath..Can i jus rip apart the shifter and add it from there? cause i can work wit the shifter alot easier than under the middle of the car since my ramps aren't very high...

You'll need to drain some of the oil out to make room...that plug is under the car. To fill properly, you need to either measure the right amount of fluid, or use the fill plug which also acts as the level indicator.

The tranny only needs ATF. Lucas is a heavy oil and won't help.
