This is my first nitrous kit so I'm trying to figure out what's normal and what's not. I have a 96 Cobra with K&N filter, MAF, and BBK twin 65mm TB.

I have the Nitrous Express kits NEX-20922-10 (Nitrous Oxide System, EFI Single Nozzle, Wet, 250 hp, 10 lb. Bottle) and NEX-GENX-2 (Upgrade Kit, Nitrous Oxide, Gen-X2, Bottle Heater, Pressure Gauge, Fuel Switch, Blow Down Fitting and Tube). I also have a BMN NitroControl window switch. I did not install the system.

When the nitrous fires, it surges ahead (a pulsing) 2-3 times before theincrease is steady. Is that typical?
