no, its not the flashing lights thing

i was thinking...some emergency vehicles transmit a certain frequency to traffic lights to get them to change green so they dont have to stop at a light. what if you were to duplicate that frequency? would it be possible? basically make a radar gun with that frequency that transmits to the light and causes it to turn green when you were in a hurry.

Yes it is possible, but it is completely ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!

 

definately illegal, and you could cause accidents with that. not to mention alot of lights are timed and i dont know if that throws the timing off or if its going to change every light accordingly to keep up.

 

There's a way to do it, and it can be done with a simple universal remote control. Seriously.

Never seen the lights change for them...usualy I seen em go throught the red lights slowly

In some municipalities (not everywhere) ambulances, fire trucks, etc. have the ability to change a light they are coming up on to green for their directionusing special radio boxes that send a signal to the control box for that light that overrides the sensors that make it switch like itnormallydoes.
