Pardon my ignorance....
I have a question because this is something I have never seen or heard of before.

What is a '96 Mustang SVO? It has cobra badging, two thick white racing stripes over the top and SVO on the side skirt just behind the doors.

Did ford call SVT's SVO's first.

Just seem odd to me.

Thanks!!
(gotta luv the 'anana)

Beats the hell outta me. To my knowledge the last svo's were in the mid 80's with the Turbo 4's. Its prolly just some svo badges slapped on the car, I mean think about it... it has cobra emblems too? WTF. It could be some crazy Canadian thing though, I've already been busted once for saying something was fake (a mid 80's Cobra GT Mustang) because they made them in Canada.
I rolled by it again last nite to see if there was anything I missed. Tripsevn7, I think you are rite. The car had side exhaust, and the decal was on the door and not the side skirt. I just thought it was odd. I haven't seen an SVO since late 80's in this area and it just stood out.

BTW... (I used to be a Honda person) Honda did the same thing in Canada with the civic. A Canadian civic Si was an American civic EX, and the Canadian SiR was an American Si. I started seeing an abundance of Candian built Honda's in my area a couple of summers ago. I talked to a few that had them, they were Candian Si's and the tried to pass them as American Si's, but it showed they knew nothing about the cars because to motors look completely different. And after I gave them a beat down with my EX they would do the standard Ricer fly-by and a I would laugh because they had no clue they where racing the same car just from America.

I have seen 'em too. Its after market badging. Did it have side pipes like a roush but oval? The graphics almost look like the boss shinoda don't they??

Like I said, Im pretty sure its all aftermarket, but they may have made them for a limited time.
