I have been a Chevy guy all my life and now i am in the market for an 00-04 Gt manual. Any things that I should look for when shopping. No clue about Fords.

What do you mean by "things to look for"?

the 99 to early 01 i think (i forget the years) had a plastic coolant crossover on the intake manifold and those crack pretty easily. other than that theres not really anything special you need to look for they are all pretty much the same. a few minor interior changes (like button placement of the rear window defroster, fog light button, etc...), i dont think the early ones came with traction control either (which i curse my car for having anyways). nothing really big, just whatever is decently priced and in good shape.

dont be too eager and pay more than u should for a car either when u find one u want. shop around and find one decently priced, mustangs are dime a dozen its not like u wont find another for sale.

Ya I mean things like recalls, things known to look out for mechanically. I just bought an 01 4.6l manual loaded for $10,800

Just the mentioned intake. Easy to fix. Look to see if your coolant crossover is aluminum or plastic. If it's aluminum, you're good. If it's plastic, buy a new intake before it cracks.

I'd suggest 01-04 GTs, they had nicer radios, side scoops, hoods, and spoiler stock.
