Are the seats in an 01-04 better than the ones in my 99? I like a seat with a good headrest that works. Theres know support for my headwith these. And will they fit in my 99?

 

I don't know why they call these things "headrests"?
They aren't for resting your head on,they're to keep your head from getting snapped over the seatback in a crash.
They're a safety item,not anything to do with comfort.
Unless you like piloting a wheelchair.

 

to answer your question though, my 01 was the same way. there is no support from the headrest. but as chopper states they were actually desinged for whiplash reasons.

 

All i want is to be able to lean my head back and feel the headrest.Most newer models have this type of seat. I thought maybe i could look for a recked newer mustang with better seats.

 

yea that would be your best bet. to be able to rest your head on 01 stang seats makes your neck go back too far. its not comfortable. the newer seats are really nice but im not sure how tracks would line up

 

I've seen wrecked mustangs 99-04.. .mostly like GT's and Cobras with headrests that actually look like headrests and not the little crappy bar thing that ours has.... just check at a junk yard
