Default power steering pump probelms

i drive a 96 mustang and my power steering pump went out. so i changed out the fluid and then after driving it some it started working. now it whines like crazy worse then normal and when i turn sharply it pulses in and out. if im stopped and i turn it sound almost like a lightsaber or something. and help would be great thanks.

after you changed the fluid did you turn it from lock to lock and recheck the fluid? if you havent refilled it, sounds like its low on fluid

You might want to pull Yoda out from under the hood. lmao Did you actually get a new pump or just put some new fluid in? If the pump went out and you just put in new fluid you are still going to need a new pump.

then why am i going to need a new pump? casue it does work it just extermely loud.

I thought you said that the pump itself went out, as in it died. If the pump is dead then you would need a new one, that seems simple enough to me. If it is on the way out you will needa new one. Did you check for Yoda?

well wat does yoda look like?and my pump it did stop working of sometime then my pump started working again. my pump stopped making the loud noise for about 5 mins the other day.

sorry its a habit i need to correct casue i couldnt even read it at frist.

Yes, I am new to posting on this forum, but have been lurking a a while. I just cant stand when people have a problem, want help, but can't type even type half *** about their problem to get help.
