Default My DD is smoking

The coil went bad in my 93 cutlass 3.4 DOHC ever since I replaced it the car smokes, but only when i first start it. Afterten seconds it dosn't smoke anymore (but it does cause a huge embarrasing cloud of smoke). What could cause this?

I know it's not a mustang but I can't find any one or where else that knows what to do.
thanks

Valve seals are the most likely cause.
Unless you are mysteriously loosing antifreeze then possibly a bad head gasket.

If this is the first start in the morning or after a day long shut down and the smoke smells like burning oil, then it's probably valve seals.

If it does this after even a short time of sitting then it's probably a head gasket leaking/seeping.The smell will be like sweet steam (?????).This will get worse until the day it gives up and completely blows and leaves you stranded.Like fourfivefour said,"If you're losing coolant it's probably a head gasket".
