Traction control from when?

When did the Mustangs get TRC - was it optional or standard and was it only V8 or also V6?

I once had a 2001 GT. It was a base model for the most part. Electric windows/locks, but not leather. It had it...I would assume they started in 1999 GT's. I don't think the V6's have it. Not 100% sure though.
