Default oil leakk

I got under my car today and noticed that it looks like its leaking oil... the cars been sitting for like 3 says and there is a very small amount of oil on the ground.. mayb the size of a pancake.. lol.. Its wet of oil under the oil filter... but the oil filter is dry, and yes there is only one gasket on it.... i thinking it may be the oil pan gasket.. and its running over that way because one side of the pan is also alittle oily..... any ideas where else it could be comming from?

Sounds like an oil pan gasket to me, I would also check and make sure the oil drain plug is tight and that the oil filter is tight and that you don't have any holes in you oil pan.

Try useing an ultra violet dye like TraceLine or something simmilar. Then simply look for the colored oil with an UV or blue LED light.

id just climb under there and make sure everythign is tight including oil pan nuts. that could take care of your problem.
