i have a 99 mustang gt and i think the governor stops the car at 115, is that right or should it go faster cuz ive read that it should stop like ast 130
so should my car be able to go faster than 115? i mean i didnt try to see if it would go past 115 but it felt like it wus trying to change gears and it wouldnt, its an auto also. i think its the governor chip though
how big are your rims? and by any chance do u feel a loss of power around 115 like i did. cuz wen i hit 115 i didnt try to keep going i wus in a death trap area for cops
i beleive the cars before the 99 didnt have governors cuz they were a different body style.
i had a gas leak on my car when i topped out could that be the reason it wouldnt go past 115?
it could be but i noticed that m260gt also has a tune which will get rid of the governor so all u need to do is get a chip or a tne if u really do have a governor idk wut came diff on the auto or standards but i kno my cobra hit 130 easy but that could just be one of the diff b/t gt and cobra and i have no clie wut my cut off is
