ehhh. almost sounds kinda ricer-ish to me for a street car. i'd have to see it on the car to know for sure though.
i'm not sure how the plastic would hold up either. i havent seen plastic hoods like that before and i'm sure if it was a feasable idea then it would have been done and widely used. plastic to me seems like it would be much weaker than CF or FB and not be able to withstand the constant vibrations and heat from the engine.

Idk becuse we use lexan (sp?) and it holds up too 350 deg. temp so i think it would work.like i said it might be kool or might just be a idea.As far as it being dont it took a long time for Cf to hit the market and take off becauseFiberglass was alrdy out and everyone was using it.So it may have been done before now just no one has seen it done or knows of it being done. And to think of it Plastic is pretty strong. They use a thin layer of plastic on the glass windshield so it dont break all the way when hit by something.
The tools we make are used for making the inside of the cars. i.e.(dash,door panels, anything plastic)
Hehe i am going to remake my inteior of my car because we have the molds to do it!
