Default GT Side skirt ripple

Sadly, when i bought my mustang the side skirt (87) it was all warped and wavey, im assuming it is from the hot to cold weather, or a previous owner installing them wrong. I was thinking that since its just plastic , could i use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat and hopefully mould it back to normal. Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just unlucky.
