Default 96 Cobra

Three weeks ago I bought a 96 Cobra Convertible triple black with about 92,000 miles and paid $7,300
I am a ford fan but new to the mustangs
I have been told that the 96 cobra converitble is rare and that the triple black combo is even more rare
Does any one know if this is true and if so how many were made?
Also i see people say there car is like number 200 of 520 for example,,,,,how would i determine what mine is?
And last for now,,,,I was told that the stock wheels with the gray inside are rare,,,any truth to that?

Thanks

Default RE: 96 Cobra

is your Cobra cloth or leather?

Black/Black top/Black Leather = 664 built
Black/Black top/Black Cloth = 2 built

There was a total of 2509 '96 Cobra converts built.

As for your production number, you'd need the SVT Certificate which tells you the build number and date it was built. SVT sells them for $40 I believe.

All '96-'97 Cobras had the same wheels, not too rare.
