Default need help!!!!

i have an 87 5.0 and recently the ignition switch went out. now i'm not a mechanic but still learning and in the process of changing out the switches i didn't disconnect the battery. i drop the wire harness and it touch something and shorted out the car. i've trying replacing all the relays that got zapped and everything else i can think of. as of right now the car just turns over but won't start like it's not getting any fuel. i was wondering if maybe i burned the computer up. any suggestions on a fix? and if the old computer is zapped what one should i look to replace it with. it's mostly stock except a couple minor upgrades.

My guess is that shorting the switch to ground
would not damage the relays. It would take out
fuses and the possible fuse link. The links are
attached to the battery terminal solenoid.
