Default Clicking Motor

I recently noticed that my motor is making a clicking sound. It sounds like its coming from the serpentine belt. The pulleys aren't warped and the sound is continuous, i.e. it does not stop after the car is warm or cold. After 1 month i noticed that it got slightly louder. Any ideas as to what it could be?
Thanks

That description is kinda vague. Did the sound start all of a sudden? Check the belt see if it has a rip or defect in it.

What engine is in your car? Could be a sticky lifter

It has a new belt. The sound started (I think) after i bought the belt (the belt is a poly-v) and the clicking has gradually increased ever since. Any suggestions?
P.S. my stang is a 97 gt, 4.8 v8 engine.

Make sure you routed the belt right if not than its possible they gave you the wrong belt if so take it off and size it up to your old one, are you sure its coming from the serp. belt? could be your a/c clutch on the compressor see if its coming from there post back
